Figures as of 27 Sep 2026. How every figure is built

Same fund. Two honest answers.

Both are right; they answer different questions. VIPB method takes every dividend as cash, the way many investors actually use them: VIPB’s since-inception money-weighted return (XIRR). ReturnKoto? METHOD reinvests every dividend to buy more units: the total return of the fund itself.

VIPB method+5.94%This is the official since-inception XIRR that VIPB Asset Management Company Limited (VIPB AMCL) uses to share this fund’s performance: one unit at face value, each cash dividend taken out (not reinvested), and today’s NAV as the final payoff./yr · dividends taken as cash · since launch · to 27 Sep 2026
ReturnKoto? METHOD+5.91%/yr · one-time, dividends reinvested · since launch · dated pay dates
Why can both numbers be right?

Seeing two different percentages for the same fund is normal, not a mistake. VIPB’s figure assumes each payout stayed in your hand (a cash-out, money-weighted XIRR). ReturnKoto? METHOD assumes every dividend went back into the fund (a reinvested, time-weighted total return). Both figures include the fund’s stock dividends and unit conversions, so nothing is left out; the difference is only whether dividends are reinvested or taken as cash, plus payout timing, how long you measure and the end date, any of which can tip either side higher. The Taken as cash toggle elsewhere on ReturnKoto? is our own time-weighted cash path for whatever period you pick; it is not the same rate as VIPB’s since-inception money-weighted XIRR in the VIPB method card, even though both treat dividends as cash. VIPB has reviewed the fund data on this page, and neither figure is an error.

Score 66.6, 8th of 16 growth funds by score. A rules-based score over the same fixed 3-year window every fund is measured on: return against its benchmark, downside deviation, worst drop and consistency, on a scale set for growth funds.

Over this window its return beat the DSEX (-3.2%/yr) but not the 91-day T-bill average (10.9%/yr). Its score of 66.6 is in the 4-star band, but stars above 3 need both yardsticks beaten, so it is held at 3.
