Why the type matters more than the name
Income funds hold bonds and deposits, so they move in a narrower band than growth funds in both directions. Comparing a growth fund's good year against an income fund's is comparing two different jobs. The split above exists so the comparison stays inside a category.
Common questions
Is the monthly amount the same for every fund here?
Yes. Every fund is modelled with an identical monthly deposit on an identical schedule, which is what makes the ending values comparable.
Why two years rather than since launch?
Because the youngest fund on the site has about that much history, and a shared window is the only honest basis for putting funds side by side.
Are fees included?
The fund's management fee is inside the NAV, so it is reflected. Tax, platform charges and buy or sell spreads are not modelled.
